Our stay in Polangui has been truly colorful as Clare spent her first fiesta in my hometown. I was also honored to have been invited as one of the judges of the first Miss Teen Pulang Angui held last June 27, 2017.
Headed by Dra. Adrianne Feliz Santayana of the Rural Health Clinic of Polangui, the wonderful event saw 18 stunning and smart Polanguenas compete for the prestigious title. Each of the contestants chose an advocacy to support and raise awareness that ranged from teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, depression, suicide and other social issues that affect the youth of today. It was a battle of beauty and brains as each of the ladies gave it their best shot during the competition.
The splendid day that started with the pre-pageant and one-on-one talk with the entrants at the lovely banquet hall of Lila Restaurante.
I was also delighted that one of my best friends Chef Benzon Liao was a judge and we gained new friends meeting other judges as well. The whole experience was a wonderful glimpse into the world of beauty pageants.
The coronation night was held in the evening at the Polangui Kiosk that saw a magical crowd gathered to witness the first ever crowning of Miss Teen Pulang Angui.
