We’re counting the days before our flight to the Philippines. We will be celebrating Christmas day and New Year with family and we couldn’t be more excited. I have a good feeling Clare will enjoy this particular holiday tremendously. It’s a wonderful time to spend with her cousins and bond with them. As we finalize our preparations, our past few days have been filled with lots of happenings in Macau.
- Uncle Ramir Santayana and his whole family visited Macau and it was truly an amazing day showing them around our new home. Clare was the perfect hostess with her entertaining acts and undeniable charm when it comes to conversations. I’m quite sure she got this character from me (haha).
- A full day tour of Macau is quite impossible but we gave it our best shot. The Santayana entourage arrived at Macau Ferry Terminal at 9:00 am from Hong Kong. We headed to Senado Square and straight to the Ruins of St. Paul. We stopped by the steps so they could try the Portuguese Egg Tarts. We then went to tour Museu De Macau and capped off the sightseeing at Mount Fortress with the magnificent view of Macau skyline. We had lunch at Din Tai Fung at the City of Dreams and continued our walkathon at The Venetian Macao and ended the day at The Parisian Macao with a spectacular sight of the Eiffel Tower. It was good enough for a day full of family fun! The tourists had a great perspective of both the old and new Macau.
- Thanks to livelovemacau.com, we discovered La Cucina Italiana. We did a dining review of the Italian restaurant the other night so watch out for our verdict and insight of the dining spot located at the Taipa Village. We were surprised by our amiable host. Mr. Ronald Agonoy Bartolome, who turned out to be the owner of the restaurant and a proud Filipino.
It’s still busy times with last minute preparations before our flight but what a beautiful 2016 turned out to be. Thank you, lord, for your amazing love!
Wishing you a happy Christmas from our small Salangsang family!
